Sibling Rivalry

So of course any time, mom and dad want to talk, you have to constantly get interrupted. As if your children know,  if they allow parents to talk to one another  and exchange information, we might actually team up against them or procreate.  With so much chaos and screaming, time to divide and conquer, AGAIN.... Bath time got moved up to 6:30pm.

After the bath, Nathan and I went up to his room and worked on his phonics journal,  (and extra arm and a leg).  But there is no price on your child's education, right?  (Don't ask his dad the question of higher education).

So we are working on his workbook for the week, Letter recognition, letter sound and penmanship.  I noticed he was very focused, and pleasant.  Umm very different than usual.  He looks at me and says,  "Good thing Katelyn is not here bothering us". It struck me as odd, but I was having such a good time with him I let go of the comment.

Well 30 minutes later, who do we hear coming up the stairs,  YUP Katelyn..... Dad takes her to her bath, I could see the sigh of relief in Nathan's face.  But it didn't last long.  Katelyn was back in the room about 10 minutes later.

Well it was clear, the sibling rivalry was there.  Dad tried to get Katelyn out of the room,  their conversation consisted of the following:

Katelyn wanna go to your room and play,           Answer:  NO
Katelyn wanna go to the choo choo room  and play          NO
Katelyn wanna go see Noah                                                 NO
Katelyn want a pair of new sun glasses                               NO
Katelyn want a new purse                                                      NO
Katelyn want Ice Cream                                                         YES

If wives could be that easy..... Brian wishes he could get off with just buying me ice cream
